Today—September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day—we join a global movement led by IASP and WHO to change the narrative on suicide. The 2024–2026 theme is “Changing the Narrative on Suicide,” a call to replace silence and stigma with openness, empathy, and support.

At Energy of Creation, we keep prevention practical with D.O.S.E.Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, Endorphins—tiny, science-backed actions that steady the nervous system and give your body real fuel for hope. (Yes, even a 60-second shoulder shimmy counts. My wife rates mine a 7/10—room to grow.)

The 5-Minute D.O.S.E. Reset

Supportive, not a substitute for professional care. If you’re in immediate danger, use the numbers at the top.

1) Dopamine (1 minute) — micro-win over overwhelm
Choose one easy action: sip water, open a window, send a “thinking of you” text. Say out loud, “I did that.” Your brain rewards completion, not perfection.

2) Oxytocin (1 minute) — connection on purpose
Hand over heart, other hand on belly. Inhale 4, exhale 6—repeat x3. If possible, message someone: “I don’t need fixing—just company.” Co-regulation beats pep talks.

3) Serotonin (2 minutes) — stability > spirals
Face daylight or step outside. Name three stabilizers you have right now: “I’m safe in this room. I can breathe. I can ask for help.”

4) Endorphins (1 minute) — move what you feel
Shake, hum, or do 30–60 seconds of gentle movement (chair twists, wall pushups, mini dance). Natural pain-relievers kick in fast.

For Allies: H.E.L.D. (What to Say When You’re Worried)

  • Honor: “Thank you for telling me. I’m glad you’re here.”

  • Explore: “What feels heaviest right now?” (no fixing)

  • Link: “Can we call or text together—now?” (use the helplines above)

  • DOSE: Invite the 5-minute reset with them.

Real D.O.S.E. vs. Fake D.O.S.E.

  • Dopamine: micro-wins & meaningful progress vs. doom-scroll spikes that crash motivation

  • Oxytocin: safe hugs, voice notes, spiritual community vs. isolating because “I’m a burden”

  • Serotonin: sunlight, breath, regular meals vs. caffeine-only mornings and self-criticism

  • Endorphins: movement, laughter, sound healing vs. numbing until it explodes later

Why It Matters (Here, Too)

Thailand has prioritized suicide prevention with a whole-of-society approach—proof that community response saves lives when paired with accessible care. On days like today, the message is simple: Speak. Listen. Link. And practice small, doable rhythms that keep your system resourced.

Your Next Best Step (Choose One)

  2. Share this article with one person and add: “I’m here if you need me.”

If you’re in the thick of it: I’m proud of you for making it to this line. Breathe with me—4 in, 6 out, three times. Your life is precious. Your story is still unfolding. There is help, and there is hope.

Grateful for you. Sending steady love from our household to yours.
peace and much much love.
