For me, stress shows up in my:

  • Shoulders (like I’m wearing a backpack full of bricks)

  • Gut (knots on knots)

  • Mind (a hamster on a triple-shot latte)


The Energy Behind Stress

From a spiritual lens, stress is stagnant energy trying to move.
It’s the blocked river of your life force.
When it has nowhere to go, it floods your body with cortisol, messes with your sleep, and clouds your intuition.

But here’s the magic:
When you move the energy — through breath, sound, or movement — stress transforms into momentum.


3 Spiritual Practices to Alchemize Stress

1. Breathwork for Release
Try this when you’re wound tight:

  • Inhale deeply through your nose for 4 counts.

  • Exhale with a loud sigh (yes, loud).

  • Repeat 10 times, focusing on dropping your shoulders each time.

2. Sound Healing for Clearing
Toning (humming or chanting) vibrates your vagus nerve, helping your body return to calm.
Even 2–3 minutes can change your whole mood.

3. Ecstatic Dance for Flow
Put on one song and move however your body wants — no choreography, no judgment.
It’s like shaking off layers of stuck energy you didn’t know you had.


Stress as a Teacher

When you start listening to stress instead of running from it, you learn:

  • Where your boundaries need reinforcing.

  • Which situations drain vs. nourish you.

  • How your body signals “enough.”

This is self-leadership at its finest — meeting life with awareness instead of reaction.
